Practical Experience

2007 - 2011:
Research assistant at the Computer Vision Laboratory of the ETH Zurich.

2010:
Development of the internet platform qapit!. The purpose of the system is to ease the search of forums in the internet.

2006-2007:
Work with a vision-based pedestrian recognition system at DaimlerChrysler-Research Center in the scope of the diploma thesis.

2004:
Development of the network layer of the 3D jump-and-run game Animal Race during a student project at the University of Ulm.

2003:
Internship at the company BOSCH Madrid, working with the automatic visual control of paste-on labels for airbag sensors.

2000:
Internship at the company NovaTrix (web design)

2000:
Development of the video analysis software DotSpot, in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten

Data

During the course of my PhD we created the Hand-Object Interaction (HOI) data-set 2010 which is publicly available. The data-set features 10 different objects and 9 different subjects. Both range and color information is available.

Please visit my ultimate frisbee club ZUF. Other than playing frisbee, I enjoy sailing, climbing, and snowboarding/skiing.
